Identifying the Site: Flushing Creek

FLUSHING CREEK
QUEENS, NEW YORK

• Site appears desolate 
• No "aesthetic" views in sight
• Industrial zone? 
• Van Wyck Expressway (major highway?)
• pretty "empty" in appearance

• lots of green areas can be seen (big parks/open space)
• stadiums nearby (Citifield appears closest)
• all the green area appears minimum 10-20 minutes away (walking)
• flushing creek has potential to be another "green space" connecting to these other green sites
