Site Visit #2 : Following Flushing Creek into Flushing Meadows - Corona Park

I present to thee MEADOW LAKE

Pedestrian path ; not much different then the vehicular path

This picture doesn't show all the cracks and bumps I felt while riding here but yeah.. bumpy ride
look at those exposed deteriorating rebars
were the columns so thick and close together that we just decided to turn them into solid walls? WHY

more "solid walls"
underutilized spaces

what a marvelous view of such tall and imposing concrete columns...

CAN YOU SEE THE LEAVES INTERTWINING ONTO THOSE COLUMNS ON THE LEFT ?
THERE'S SOMETHING SO BEAUTIFUL ABOUT IT ; LIKE NATURE TRYING TO TAKE OVER OR TAKE BACK ITS SPACE

Vehicular path and pedestrian path separated by the strip of grass area ; again no big difference ; both dull

THIS PICTURE REMINDED ME OF ALL THE ANT HOLES I SAW ALL THROUGHOUT THE EDGE OF THE CREEK !

more "wasted spaces" ? ; underutilized ; more "solid walls" ; more deteriorating rebars

uhm....

apparently Flushing Meadows-Corona Park is STILL a dumping site...

kind like the color change I captured in the vegetation here but also look I caught a fisher

I caught another one ! (I'm not sure what this area this fisher is sitting on is or if it was intentionally placed for this exact activity)

another image showing off the wild and untamed vegetation growing along the creek

another view of these imposing concrete columns (Van Wyck Expressway & Long Island Expressway up there)

so many columns...
