Site Analysis - Water Quality Study

source: Flushing Creek - Riverkeeper

Explanation:

This chart is recording the enterococcus count found in Flushing Creek and the amount of rain (in inches) from the day it rained up to three days prior. According to the last 15 samples taken the quality of the water has remained in the “Beach Advisory” category meaning  you should avoid swimming in it, which means that the level of enterococcus is unsafe and that there are high levels of fecal matter in the water. The water quality remains consistently under the “Beach Advisory” category which means that even when the sewer system isn’t overflowing and pouring its raw sewage into the Creek, the water is still left contaminated by the sewage water.
